ADS Audio-Visual Productions

One of the earliest Audio-Visual Productions
from 1965

One of the most prolific producer of public service spots (video cassettes and records) was Audio-Visual Productions located in the Washington D.C. area (in Fairfax, Virginia) and presided by Art Stamler from 1962 to 1985.

Dr. Arthur (Art) Donald Stamler

Dr. Stamler began his career in broadcasting in 1952 when he joined the staff of WBUR, Boston University's FM station, as a student. He then joined WXKS in Boston as News Director.

In 1955, Dr. Stamler first entered management as General Manager of WGUY in Bangor, ME. He served two years with the United States Army and several years in the Army Reserve as a Radio Broadcast Officer. He went back to management briefly with WFAX, a Washington, DC-area station, and then took ownership of another DC-area station, WOHN. From 1962 to 1985, he was President and Executive Producer of Ads Audiovisual Productions, the nation's largest producer of public service spots for radio and television, located in Fairfax, Virginia.
