Destiny 503 (picture sleeve)

Destiny 503 (picture sleeve)

Canadian Larry Lee was born in or around 1938 and died in 1996.
"Larry Lee's career began in his home town, London, Ontario, singing and playing guitar on Saturday mornings over Radio Station CFPL. At the age of fifteen, he formed his first group - a western band. As the group became more proficient...Larry had the pleasure of working with the Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash and went on a tour with Marty Robbins.

Larry formed a nite club rock 'n roll act in the fall of 1959. Since then it's been a hard, steady climb and he has appeared at many of the top Canadian clubs."
The Leesures were John Dee or Red Shea (guitar), Ray Fennell (drums), Billy Diel (pno; organ), Chuck Daniels (bass) and Al Falconi (or Andy Wilson) on tenor sax.

If three of his Canatal sides have been re-issued by Collector Records, the four sides recorded by Larry Lee on Destiny doesn't seems to have attracted the attention of the re-issues labels.
